Close by is the Georgian town of Ludlow - renowned for its famous restaurants and medieval castle. Sixteen miles away is Hay-on-Wye, nestling under the foothills of the Black Mountains and internationally known for its Literary Festival, which takes place in late May.
For those interested in golf, the highest golf course in England is just seven miles away at Kington, where it is possible to see five counties on a fine day. Day tickets to fish approximately ten miles of the local rivers, Lugg and Arrow, for Brown Trout and Grayling can be aquired nearby. Further afield, through the Wye and Usk Foundation, guests can obtain access to these two famous rivers for coarse and game fishing.
